Whisky Paradise, Coasts, Wildlife
Moray Speyside is Whisky Country! It’s home to more than half of Scotland’s whisky distilleries. Big names include Macallan, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Glenallachie.. In an area which covers less than 100 square miles it really is every whisky connoisseur’s paradise!
There is something special about seeing how your favourite whisky is made before tasting it right there, perhaps even from the cask. Whether visiting one of the big names or a lesser-known distillery such as Benromach we can make plenty of suggestions. If the chance to blend your own whisky to take home appeals or savouring the sights, tastes and smells of whisky barrels being charred by the local Cooperage is of interest we can arrange.
Of course, there’s more here than just whisky! You could spot bottle nosed dolphins from the sea cliffs of the Moray Firth Coast. Local food specialties like Cullen Skink, a delicious smoked haddock soup, simply has to be tried! We could even arrange for you to cook your own taste of Scotland in a private culinary masterclass or enjoy a truly memorable local Whisky and Food Tasting experience. Historic castle visits, trips to ancient woollen mills, fishing, walks, hikes, wilderness experiences and plenty more for the active adventurer can all be customised to suit you.
