    Itinerary of the trip

    Day 1Ferry to Orkney, Scapa Flow, Churchill Barriers and Italian Chapel.

    Sail by ferry across the Pentland Firth to explore the legendary Scapa Flow. You’ll traverse the historic Churchill Barriers, marvelling at the coastal engineering before discovering the intricate artistry and moving history of the Italian Chapel, a beautiful symbol of hope during wartime.

    Overnight: Kirkwall.

    Day 2Neolithic Orkney (Maeshowe, Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar).

    Step back 5,000 years into the Heart of Neolithic Orkney. You’ll enter the mysterious Maeshowe tomb, wander the remarkably preserved stone dwellings of Skara Brae, and stand in awe beneath the towering monoliths of the iconic Ring of Brodgar.

    Overnight: Kirkwall.

    Day 3Broch of Gurness, Barony Mill and Yesnaby Cliffs.

    Uncover Iron Age secrets at the Broch of Gurness before a bite of lunch at the traditional Barony Mill. Conclude your day with a walk to the Yesnaby Cliffs, where you’ll experience breathtaking Atlantic views and the raw, rugged beauty of Orkney’s coastline. Keep an eye out for the dramatic views of Yesnaby Castle (a two-legged sea stack), geo inlets and the ruins of the Broch of Borwick.

    Day 4Ferry back to the mainland and Dunrobin Castle & Gardens.

    Enjoy a scenic ferry return to the mainland for a grand finale at Dunrobin Castle. You’ll explore its French-style towering spires and formal gardens, soaking in the aristocratic elegance of the Highlands’ most fairy-tale fortress overlooking the North Sea.
