The Cairngorms offer breathtaking landscapes, including rugged mountains, deep valleys, and expansive forests and is most known for its dramatic scenery and diverse ecosystems.
It’s home to one-quarter of Scotland’s native forest; one-third of the UK land above 600 meters; more breeding waders than the whole of Wales, quarter of the rare and endangered species in the UK and is the largest National Park in the UK at 4,528 sq km (1,748 sq miles).
For walkers/hikers and mountain bikers there are numerous trails for all skill levels ranging from gentle to challenging. Feeding the mountain top reindeers at the end of a short but rewarding hike is a fun and rewarding pastime for everyone.
